Making your generosity go further

Every donation of $50 or more will be matched

Across the country, educational and youth programs are facing cuts at the same time that families are struggling with higher living costs and reduced support services. For many of our students, a gap of just a few hundred dollars in program funding can mean the difference between having a safe, enriching place to go after school and going without structured academic and cultural support.

Every donation of $50 or more will be matched with a $50 matching gift, up to $1000 making your dollars go further, when made through our Pacific American Foundation PayPal page and designated for the “Mālama Afterschool Program.”

Lokahi: Where curiosity comes to life.

Academic support meets whole-child growth.

The Lōkahi Program provides programming in seven public schools and one private school.

The programs implemented at the various sites combine:
  • Academic instruction, tutorial, and/or homework support

  • Enrichment activities to engage students and foster positive learning behaviors and learning achievement

  • College and career awareness programs

  • Family learning activities to foster parent relationships and increase parent involvement at the centers

The program focuses on accelerating academic achievement in reading and math. As planned, students also participate in various enrichment classes which vary amongst the different centers and included but is not limited to fitness activities, STEM activities, and other well-rounded educational activities (art, dance, music, robotics, etc.).
